About Altruvex

A software development company that publishes how it works.

Altruvex designs and builds websites for businesses, and custom software built around how a business works. How projects run, the standards we build to and the price ranges are all published on this site.

What Altruvex is, in plain terms.

What we do

Two services, end to end: website design and development, and custom software such as internal business applications, workflow tools, dashboards and portals. Alongside them, technical audits of existing builds and maintenance after launch.

What has shipped

Online stores for two lighting retailers, and this site. Each one is public, so you can open it and check it yourself.

Languages

Every language your site needs, right-to-left included, designed and engineered together from the first wireframe, not added at the end.

How it is built

Custom code on Next.js, not a theme or a page builder. The performance, accessibility and security targets we build to are published in full.

How a project runs

Five phases: discovery, wireframe, design, development and launch. You approve the structure and then the design before development starts.

Pricing and ownership

Ranges are published and every estimate is broken down before the contract. Payment is by milestone, and the code, designs and accounts pass to you at final payment.

Where we work

Working remotely with clients wherever they are.

The name

altr-, as in altruism: when your interest and ours disagree, the decision follows yours.

Who runs it and where.

Founder

Ali Abdelhadi, Founder & Lead Engineer

Founder and lead engineer at Altruvex, focused on custom web systems and product delivery.

Based in Cairo, Egypt.

Four commitments, and what each costs us.

4 principles · open any

  1. Scope, changes and approvals are written down before work moves on, so both sides work from the same record.

    What it costs us

Writing it down takes longer than agreeing on a call.

  2. If a page, a feature, or an entire phase will not earn back what it costs to build, we say so before it is quoted — not after it ships.

    What it costs us

The recommendation that removes a feature removes a line from our own invoice.

  3. Estimates are broken down before the contract, not defended after it. If scope changes, the change order arrives before the work starts — not with the final invoice.

    What it costs us

A number fixed in advance is a bet against our own estimate, and we pay when it is wrong.

  4. At final payment, repositories, domains and pipelines are in your name, documented for the engineer after us. Nothing is engineered to make leaving difficult.

    What it costs us

We keep no leverage over a client who decides to walk.

Who this is for, and who it isn't.

A good fit

  • A business whose website must bring in orders or inquiries, or whose work has outgrown its tools
  • Customers who read more than one language, right-to-left included
  • Someone who wants to own the code outright
  • A team that can review and approve each phase

Not a fit

  • A theme with a new logo by Friday
  • A project with no one to make decisions
  • A fixed price before anyone has looked at the problem
